Rob “Kinetic Guru” Williams is an international presenter and renowned athletic engineer. He has instructed at conventions around the globe and specializes in the practical application of human movement science. He assists professional and student athletes in optimizing their performance on the field, and assists general population clients in optimizing their performance in life. Whether it is a physical movement challenge or a mental task that must be achieved, the Kinetic Guru is able to guide his clients through transformations.
The Kinetic Guru has become a renowned personal trainer in the industry through focused, applied exercise science education. He has obtained a Bachelor of Science from the respected The Ohio State University and obtained a Master of Science in Athletic Performance Enhancement from California University of Pennsylvania. He has numerous weeks of professional mentorship training and coaching development with EXOS (formerly known as Athletes’ Performance) with some of the top practitioners in the world.
Rob is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), a Strong First Kettlebell instructor, a Performance Enhancement Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), and a movement screening practitioner through Functional Movement Systems.

Transitioned undergraduate studies from Electrical and Computer Engineering into Education and Exercise Science. Education and Exercise Science is a dual threaded area of study; Exercise Science and Health Promotion. The Exercise Science thread studies structural, functional and behavioral phenomena related to exercise in various settings. The Health Promotion thread studies the promotion of exercise and health behaviors in worksite, school, community, and other settings.
California University of Pennsylvania
Graduate studies focused on athletic performance enhancement and injury reduction. Studies included functional anatomy, functional biomechanics and motor learning as they relate to rehabilitation and athletic reconditioning. Specific instruction in functional anatomy, functional biomechanics and motor learning as they relate to functional rehabilitation and athletic reconditioning. Experience also included kinetic chain assessments to determine myokinematic, arthrokinematic and neuromuscular deficits.

Completed four (4) one week phases of Performance Specialist Mentorship training at Athlete’s Performance in Phoenix, AZ and one (1) week of Rehabilitation Specialist Mentorship training at The Andrews Institute in Gulf Breeze, FL.
National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA)
As a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, completed training to apply specific knowledge to assist athletes in improving their athletic performance. Experience included conducting sport-specific testing sessions, designing and implementing safe and effective strength training and conditioning programs and providing guidance regarding nutrition and injury prevention.
As a Strong First Girya, certified expert in kettlebell use and skilled in testing, cueing and troubleshooting within the Strong First kettlebell system. Expertise includes the ability to train other instructors in the SFG system.
National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM)
As a Performance Enhancement Specialist through NASM, certified as a practitioner to improve the performance of an individual in any sport.
Functional Movement Systems
Functional Movement Specialist skilled in identifying limitations or asymmetries in seven fundamental movement patterns that are key to functional movement quality. These movement patterns are designed to provide observable performance by placing an individual in positions where weaknesses and imbalances are noticeable if appropriate mobility and motor control is not utilized, or will systematically identify the cause of symptoms if an individual has known musculoskeletal pain.
